Double Exposure Necklace Sterling and 14kt Gold Fill
Double Exposure Necklace Two hand formed shells of gold fill and sterling silver have been created in mirror image and finish to one another, and soldered together to create the pendant of this piece. The polished black finish of the silver shell has been framed between the brilliant gold fill shell and gold fill jump rings, creating a subtle shift of metals throughout the piece.

Ian formed J+I Jewelry in 1999 with Jessica Rogal. For 20+ years each piece has been handmade in their studio in the heart of Philadelphia. Self-taught in the art of jewelry fabrication, his fascination with metals formed from a schooling in geology and a desire to work with his hands. Combining precious metals with gemstones and pearls he seeks to create designs that are organic and have an artisanal essence. The studio is filled with the sound of hammers and sanders as each piece is skillfully crafted by the talented team of J+I jewelers.
