Recycled Glass Art

Veronica and Tim Church didn't start out as recycled wine bottle artist, it just happened!  Veronica, a stained glass artist since 1986, did commissioned windows and repairs for churches, colleges, state facilities and private homes from Maryland to Florida. Owned galleries in North Carolina and Virginia and taught stained glass for several colleges in North Carolina. Tim, a silk screen printer, since 1985, managed the samples department for the third largest screen printing company in the United States. He began helping Veronica out of necessity as interest in her art grew. Being vendors at events, he was the brawn and great with the customers. While vendors at wine festivals they discovered dumpsters full to capacity with discarded corks and wine bottles. When the shock wore off, they had to find a way to use this wealth of beautiful glass, and reWINEd was born! In partnering with wineries, restaurants and earth conscience recyclers, they collect their discarded bottles and corks and create beautiful and functional art from landfill bound waste. They have recycling bins that save thousands of pounds of glass from the landfill each week!
